This 3D printed magnetic mount comes fully assembled (including the Ford OEM reverse guidance checkered sticker if you select it).  If your truck is equipped with Ford’s Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ then this reusable magnet will give you ultimate flexibility with your trailers.

Use on…

  • Multiple personal trailers
  • Rented trailers
  • Seasonal trailers
  • Trailers without space on top of the frame for the Ford reverse guidance sticker (using the integrated side mount magnets)

The magnets are strong enough that you can leave the magnetic mount on the top of the trailer tongue while driving.

Alternatively, the two finger-slots on the side of the mount make it easy to grab and remove when your trailer is in storage. (Such as an RV)

Since some trailers don’t have room on top of the tongue frame for Ford’s reverse guidance sticker, this magnetic mount also has side magnets that allow you to place the sticker on the side of your trailer frame.  Remove the magnet from the side before driving but easily place it back on the frame when needing to reverse.

If you have more than one trailer, just keep one of these magnetic mounts in your truck and place it on any trailer you use!  Borrowing a trailer?  No problem!  Since the magnetic mount is removable, you can now use your Ford Pro Trailer Backup Assist™ with any rental trailer as well!

The sticker mount is very well designed and constructed. It is the exact size as the ORM checkered decal. The magnet is powerful and the material is durable against weather forces (rain or sun). It allows easier placement when first measuring and installing the checkered sticker. Unfortunately, at least in my case it didn’t really change my truck’s ability to consistently detect the checkered decal. My experience suggests strongly that the critical variable is light contrast level due to bright sunshine. Both my original decal and the magnetic decal work very well on overcast dats with gray sky. Neither works well (or at all) if the sun is brightly shining.This is not a criticism of the product but rather of Ford’s sensor system. Unfortunately the magnetic decal doesn’t solve that problem. Maybe it could be redesigned to deal with the light contrast factor.
